The prominency of Swiss German University was Exhibited during SGU Day 2016
On 8 October 2016, Swiss German University held SGU Day 2016. SGU Day 2016 is a series of SGU events open for the public consisting of an Open House, faculty exhibitions, competitions, and workshops in the areas of engineering, business, humanities and life sciences. With the theme ‘Where Global Experience & Innovation Meet’, SGU Day was held with the aim to provide first-hand and interactive experience to visitors on SGU intellectual property and expertise that has lifted SGU’s reputable image as the leading international university known for its modern study program, innovations, research, and breakthrough student achievements.
Attended by around 600 people, SGU Day displayed full range of activities from 11 bachelor’s degrees and 3 master’s degree study programs in academic and non-academic category as well as overview on provision of global experience through the internship program in Europe.

Faculty Exhibition & Workshops
Swiss German University Faculty of Engineering & IT, Business Administration & Humanities, and Life Sciences & Technology provided information to the public on their study programs, activities, and innovative projects and experiments. In addition, free workshops were also given as a part of their service with wide range of topics such as business simulation, photography, table manner, life sciences’ escape room game, engineering, and many others.

The talkshow raised the issue of human resources quality that is very much depended on the existing education system. This was commented by Mr. Heinz Buerki, the President of IMI (International Management Institute) Switzerland, which is one of the 17 partner universities of SGU who said that "The partnership between universities in terms of internships and student exchange is needed in the era of internationalization and globalization. It is important and necessary to be done not only to provide experience to graduates, but to understand about international appr oaches and work ethics."
GAME-A-THON Competition Announcement
winners of GAME-A-THON competition were given cash price and scholarship reward from Swiss German University
GAME-A-THON is a competition held by Information Technology study program participated by a total of 38 schools in Jabodetabek area and around more than 100 participants. Competition participants were evaluated on their game programs quality along with its download frequency.
Mechatronics Day
Mechatronics Day is a workshop and a competition event held by for high school students that highlight the expertise of Mechatronics Engineering. Through this event, high school students who are interested in Mechatronics Engineering field can gain knowledge and skills as well as gather experiences from some Mechatronics Engineering SGU students who were chosen as mentors for the high-school students.

Engineers Talk About Art Closing Ceremony
SGU Industrial Engineering study program held the closing ceremony of Engineers Talk About Art (ETAA) closing ceremony in which the winners of painting and mural competition were announced as well as musical performance by Industrial Engineering students and JIVAA band.

SGU Modern Dance & Angklung Club performed their signature moves and songs as part of entertainment during SGU Day
Through SGU Day, SGU re-emphasized its commitment in advancing Indonesian higher education and the quality of Indonesian human resources by providing an innovative educational program through 11 undergraduate and 3 graduate programs with the provision of dual/triple degrees from reputable international institution partners and industry collaboration with more than 250 companies throughout Indonesia and Europe.
