 Muslims after fasting for one month, they will welcome Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr is synonymous with family gatherings and visiting relatives to strengthen friendship. The thing to look forward to during Eid is to enjoy typical Eid dishes. Those are some traditional Eid food that are usually in Indonesia

Opor ayam

Opor ayam is a food that has been around for a long time, even confirmed since the old kingdom era. Opor ayam is usually served by ordinary people who in the past could not eat meat. Because meat used to be served by the royal family. Because you want to enjoy a similar dish, opor ayam is created. This special Eid food is processed chicken cooked in coconut milk sauce seasoned with a variety of spices. This is a perfect and delicious partner to eat with ketupat on Eid Al-Fitr.

Ketupat

Ketupat is one of the most popular culinary icons that is very synonymous with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr in Indonesia. The typical culinary Eid in the archipelago is rice cooked in woven packages of young coconut leaves. Because of the popularity of this typical Indonesian Lebaran food, the diamond ornament has even become part of the Eid day decoration which is quite popular.

Sambal Goreng Ati

The next typical Eid food in Indonesia is Sambal Goreng Ati, another side dish that can complement the ketupat dish on Eid day.

Rendang

Rendang is a typical culinary dish from Padang whose popularity has even gone global. Even though it is very easy to find every day in Padang restaurants, rendang is also one of the typical Eid dishes which is often served with chicken opor and also ketupat.

Nastar

Indonesia is also synonymous with serving various cakes and sweet snacks. One of the most popular and often found in various regions in Indonesia is Nastar. Pastries filled with pineapple jam are indeed a mainstay for welcoming various celebrations such as Eid.

Kastengel

Apart from Nastar, other pastries that often accompany the typical Eid culinary variety in Indonesia are Kastangel. If Nastar cake is more synonymous with sweet taste, Kastangel has a more savory and salty taste because of the cheese content used to make this typical Lebaran pastry.
