The Global Strategic Communications study program at SGU provides the latest curriculum to prepare students, so they are ready to face the globalization era. It offers diverse subjects, ranging from digital marketing, political communication, business law, to the study of media technology, public relations, journalism, and many more with an emphasis on international exposure.
A graduate from Global Strategic Communications from SGU is also equipped with two professional competency certifications, which are Junior Public Relations from PERHUMAS Public relations certification program (LSP PRI), and Digital English Journalism Certification from The Jakarta Post Foundation.
In addition, students are taught by excellent faculty members, who have extensive experiences working, researching, and teaching in international environments. Throughout their study, students learn about the complexities within the communication field, particularly Public Relations, Strategic Management, and International Journalism.
Besides having an internship program in Indonesia in their third semester, students also have the choice to do an internship or study abroad in our partner universities in Europe or South Korea in their sixth semester. Hence they will get a chance for learning and working abroad.

1. Communication Analyst
Every business has to understand user’s needs to design better systems and improve effectiveness at work. A communication analyst is there to analyzing, testing, designing, and evaluating communications systems in the organization to pursue the needs. A communication analyst requires knowledge and skills in information and communication systems according to the needs of the profession and organization.
2. Communication Trainer
Communication training is important because it is the process for developing communication skills in order to perform job more effectively. A good training needs to be held by an experienced trainer who has mastered the skills of providing helpful feedback and discussion to others and engagingly presenting training content to adapt training content to meet the specific needs of the trainee.
3. International Journalist
In this era, journalism is not only generating ideas into collecting, writing, editing, and presenting data in the media. But also need focuses on practical skills and global knowledge. The student in SGU is equipped with economics, politics, culture, and sociology knowledge with an international experience by an internship in an intercultural working environment at first-class companies in Germany, Switzerland, or other countries.
4. Chief Communication Officer
In today’s competitive business transformation, industries have to be closely connected to communication strategies to be effective and successes and the chief communication officer responsible to build and sustains a company’s reputation in quality and readability by managing corporate communications, reputation management, leadership communications, and even internal communications.

Although a global communication strategic degree is not a specific major for entrepreneurship, but the student in SGU will have communication skills in the fields of public relations, advertising, marketing, event management, and political communication which are valuable assets in running a successful business.
