Exploring Educational Frontiers: Jubilee School Students Embark on a Transformative Campus Visit to Swiss German University (SGU)
Monday, November 27, 2023, Swiss German University (SGU) had the pleasure of hosting 88 senior high school students from Jubilee School Jakarta for an enriching Campus Visit. The primary agenda included an insightful exploration of SGU’s campus and engaging in two workshops facilitated by the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology (FLST).
The day commenced with an exciting Fun Science Workshop led by the Food Technology program, featuring presentations by Mrs. Maria Gunawan, Mrs. Della, and Mrs. Stacia. This interactive session not only showcased the dynamic aspects of the Food Technology program but also ignited the students’ curiosity about the fascinating world of science.
Following this, the students delved into a workshop conducted by the Sustainable Energy and Environment (SEE) program. The workshop’s theme, “Biodiesel from Used Cooking Oil,” was presented by Mrs. Dyah Indriani, Mrs. Evita Legowo, and SEE program students. This session aimed to provide insights into sustainable energy practices and environmental conservation, aligning with SGU’s commitment to fostering eco-friendly solutions.
The visit was not only an opportunity for the students to gain firsthand experience of SGU’s academic offerings but also a chance for SGU to create a positive impact in terms of awareness and potential student intake. The Engagement School program kicked off with an overview of SGU, “SGU at Glance,” presented by Mr. Ilham Akbar. This was followed by a Welcoming Speech by Mr. Hery Sutanto, setting an encouraging tone for the students’ exploration of SGU.
As we reflect on the day, we hope that the visit from Jubilee School students proves to be a catalyst for positive change and growth for both institutions. SGU remains committed to fostering educational excellence and serving as a platform for transformative learning experiences.
