A Visit to Industrial Engineering Department of University of Indonesia

On January 27, 2016 six academic staff (lecturers) of Industrial Engineering Department of Swiss German University (SGU) including Dr. Tanika Goddess Sofianti, S.T., M.T., Ir. Triarti Saraswati, M.Eng., Ir. Setijo Awibowo, MM,  Ir. Invanos Tertiana, MBA, Kirina Boediardjo, ST, M. Eng., and Ezra Mandira Sugandi, B.Eng., S.T., visited the Industrial Engineering Department of University of Indonesia (UI). The purpose of the visit is for comparative study of the learning process in the Industrial Engineering Department of University of Indonesia (UI).

Industrial Engineering of Swiss German University were warmly welcomed by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department of UI, Dr. Akhmad Hidayatno, ST., MBT, and the Secretary of the Industrial Engineering Department of UI, Dr. Ing. Amalia Suzianti, ST., MSc, accompanied by several lecturers of Industrial Engineering Department of UI. During the visit, the representative of Industrial Engineering of SGU received a presentation on the history of Industrial Engineering of UI, and the activities of the learning process provided by Industrial Engineering of UI to the students. The presentation was conducted at Secretariat Building of Industrial Engineering of UI by Dr. Akhmad Hidayatno, ST., MBT. The presentation was continued by a tour to 5 laboratories under Industrial Engineering Department. In the laboratory tour, the lecturers of Industrial Engineering of SGU received explanation of the activities carried out at the laboratory including the tools and the result of the researches conducted by each laboratory.

The participants then had a lunch meeting discussing on prospective collaborations that can be conducted by Industrial Engineering Department of SGU and UI.
